Bio
Maurizio L'Altrella
Maurizio L’Altrella was born 1972 in Milan, where he lives and works.
He began his pictorial experience in 2010, offering his work to art galleries, curators and art critics and collectors.
Today his works are part of prestigious private collections, he collaborates with galleries in Italy and abroad.
His influences and his inspiration pass mainly through the observation of the great masters of the ‘500’ 600 Flemish,
Italian, Spanish and those of the nineteenth and twentieth century including Eduard Manet, Caspar David Friedrich,
William Turner, Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, Gerhard Richter.
His gaze is also involved in an important way by contemporary masters who express themselves with types of media
other than painting, such as Bill Viola, Peter Greenaway, Philippe Parreno, Pierre Huyghe and others.
In my journey everything moves through dreamlike, mythological and metaphysical visions
I investigate empty and full storms
the space and the ephemeral matter that composes it
I never have a predetermined order in the search
I immerse myself in the deep self, where the roads intertwine inevitably driven by sentiment and memory
each element retains its intrinsic value
I can only listen to my heart
Nothing is left to chance.
